GaanaAI for Claude
A custom connector for Claude.ai
Run your gaana-desk video production from inside Claude. Triage requests, edit briefs, approve scripts, and publish to Instagram and YouTube — all from the same conversation, without switching tabs.
What is GaanaAI for Claude?
GaanaAI is a custom connector for Claude.ai. Once you connect it, Claude can read and act on your gaana-desk workspace on your behalf — the same requests, products, and integrations you use today, now available as tools Claude can call mid-conversation.
You stay in control: every action runs as you, gated by your gaana-desk role. If you can't do it in gaana-desk, Claude can't do it either.
Install in 60 seconds
1. Open claude.ai and go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
2. Paste the URL: https://consumer-app.getgaana.com/api/mcp/mcp
3. Name it GaanaAI and click Connect.
4. A new tab opens to gaana-desk. Sign in if you aren't already, then click Approve on the consent screen.
5. Back in Claude, start a new conversation and toggle GaanaAI on under + → Connectors.
That's it — try the prompts below.
What you can do
GaanaAI exposes around 30 tools, grouped by capability. Claude picks the right one based on what you ask.
Manage requests
List your open requests, search by keyword, view details, comments, and activity history. Create new video requests with full briefs (voice, music, duration, aspect ratio). Update briefs, change status, submit script revisions, and assign teammates.
Publish to social
Take a finished video URL and publish it as an Instagram Reel or YouTube video, tied to a specific request. Check publish status without leaving Claude.
Bring in media from anywhere
Paste a Google Drive, Dropbox, or any public link — GaanaAI imports the file into your gaana-desk workspace and gives you a hosted URL you can use in publishes or comments. No download/re-upload dance.
Catalog & team
List and edit products. Invite or remove teammates. List voice languages, background music, and video duration tiers available to your account.
Notifications
See unread notifications and mark them read.
Example prompts to try
Once connected, ask Claude things like:
- “Show me my open requests in gaana-desk, newest first.”
- “Pull up the script for request RR-12 and rewrite the hook to be punchier — then move it to production.”
- “Add the comment ‘Looks good, ready to publish’ on request RR-12.”
- “What voice languages and durations are available for new video requests?”
- “Take this Drive video and publish it as an Instagram Reel for request RR-12 — caption: ‘Launch day!’”
The last one is the showstopper: Claude imports the Drive file, attaches it to your gaana-desk request, and posts it to Instagram — three tools chained in one turn.
How it works
GaanaAI uses OAuth 2.1— the same standard Google, GitHub, and other connectors use. When you click Approve, gaana-desk issues a per-install access token tied to your account. Claude stores its own short-lived session tokens; the long-lived gaana-desk token never leaves our servers.
You can revoke access any time from Claude (Settings → Connectors → GaanaAI → Disconnect) or from your gaana-desk account settings.
What data does GaanaAI access?
Only what you'd see when signed into gaana-desk yourself: your requests, comments, products, team members, notifications, and connected social accounts. Claude sees this data only when you ask it to — for example, when you say “list my requests,” the response goes into your conversation.
We don't sell or share your data. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the full details.
Requirements
A gaana-desk account (client or internal). The connector tools mirror your existing role — if you're a client user, you'll see client tools; internal users see internal tools.
A Claude.ai account on any plan that supports connectors.
Troubleshooting
The Approve button does nothing or shows an error
Make sure you're signed into gaana-desk in the same browser tab. If you're already signed in and still see an error, sign out and back in, then retry.
Claude says “Your gaana-desk session has expired”
Disconnect the connector in Claude (Settings → Connectors → GaanaAI → Disconnect) and reconnect. This issues a fresh token.
A tool I expected isn't showing up
Some tools are gated by role. Internal-only tools won't appear on client accounts, and vice versa. Ask Claude “what gaana-desk tools do you have?” to see your current set.
